Based on the CNN response, Palin did her job splendidly!
Listening right now to the talking heads on CNN, they're talking about how people don't really vote based on the lower half of the ticket, how maybe Obama should have picked Clinton, and how tonight's was a "historic speech."
Campbell Brown even admitted how she "connected" with seeing Palin's family.
The only particularly iffy thing is they're claiming she's trying to start a new "culture war." Dear CNN, she's appealing to small town voters. Her speech didn't invoke guns, religion, gay rights, or abortion ... is was pretty neutral on the cultural-conservative front.
In any event - this is a change I can believe in!
