A federal grand jury handed up a 16-count indictment against Rep. William Jefferson, D - La., on charges right out of "The Sopranos," including money laundering, racketeering, and obstruction of justice, with allegations of corruption spanning years and two continents.
May all public officials who commit malfeasance be brought to justice, regardless of party. And may we never again have to suffer through the Democrats' chant of "Culture of Corruption" as though unethical and illegal acts are somehow a problem only affecting the Republican Party.
